tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21671051.post114675329566267307..comments2008-12-17T12:08:55.533ZComments on Investigating Hepatitis C in Pakistan: Visiting the slumsMiss Plumnoreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21671051.post-19833177951229086702008-12-17T12:08:00.000Z2008-12-17T12:08:00.000ZDear Sir/Madam, My name is Junaid Ahmad and a paki...Dear Sir/Madam,<BR/> <BR/>My name is Junaid Ahmad and a pakistani national.Can you please help me about the following isssue related to my career?<BR/>I am a Chemical Engineer having 4 years of operational(Refinery Oil & gas) experience.I have got jobs twice in Saudi Arabia & UAE in reputable industries there but during medical test for visa, the embassy rejects me and ddeeclared me un-fit medically for their countries due to the following problem:<BR/> <BR/><BR/>I had been suffered from Hepatitis-C virus last year and got treatment course of Interferon injection+Ribavirin pulls for six months.<BR/><BR/>After this course the virus become non-reactive and now in PCR (Polymer Chain Reaction) it is non-reactive state.<BR/><BR/>But in the normal Hepatitis tests i.e. screening test it can be shown but as per all physicians that it will be show present in the simple tests but in PCR the actual status of this virus can be seen i.e. non-reactive.<BR/><BR/>My ALT(SGPT) is normal i.e.41 and I have no any other symptoms now of HCV.<BR/><BR/>All the gulf countries doesn't accept PCR and they declare un-fit on normal screening test.<BR/><BR/>Also here in Pakistan many good organisation doesn't allow HCV effected person for a job.<BR/><BR/> <BR/><BR/>Can you please help me that how to cope with this sitauation or any standerd to justify that PCR is more reliable then normal screening test.<BR/><BR/>Please alsi advise me that if any procedure availible for getting rid of this virus present in blood that my blood doesn't show this virus in normal sceening.I have done PCR three time after each six months and it has been in non-detected state.<BR/><BR/> <BR/><BR/>Your prompt response will be highly appreciated as i will have to facing this problem again now with UAE embassy in coming next week.<BR/><BR/> <BR/><BR/>Praying for your success of this good cause.<BR/><BR/> <BR/><BR/>Best Regards,<BR/><BR/>Junaid AhmadJunaidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16039291233704846183noreply@blogger.com
